Logan Hall, Zyon McCollum Return To Practice While Calijah Kancey Still Out

Zyon McCollum was in a non-contact jersey while Logan Hall seemed poised for return this week. Calijah Kancey was not on the field in the portion open to the media
Transcript

Some good news for the Buccaneers as defensive lineman Logan Hall and cornerback Zyon McCollum returned to practice Wednesday. McCollum was in a black, non-contact jersey, but having him back on the field at all is a positive sign moving forward;

Noticeably absent from the portion open to the media was defensive lineman Calijah Kancey, who injured his calf in practice last Friday and missed the season opener against Washington. It's the same injury that Kancey suffered last season that held him out for a few weeks.

At least having Hall back - or on track to return - will be a boost to the Bucs' defensive line against a Lions team that has an impressive running back duo in Jahmyr Gibbs and David Montgomery but not the mobile threat at quarterback that Washington provided. As for McCollum, he still has some hurdles to clear to return from concussion protocol, but having him participate in a limited capacity on Wednesday is a good sign.
