Tampa Bay Signs CB Keenan Isaac Back To Roster

Keenan Isaac Has Re-Signed In Tampa After Short Stint In Carolina
Transcript

The Tampa Bay Buccaneers have signed cornerback Keenan Isaac to the active roster Tuesday. This move comes after multiple injuries to the Tampa Bay secondary. Isaac was a member of the Bucs roster throughout 2023 and the entire 2024 preseason. He had an impressive preseason that included an interception.

After Tampa cut Isaac back on August 26th, the Carolina Panthers came in and claimed the cornerback their head coach Dave Canales was familiar with. It was a day before the Panthers’ week one game that Keenan Isaac became available again on waivers.

During Sunday's game, Tampa Bay dealt with injuries to cornerbacks Bryce Hall, Zyon McCollum, and Josh Hayes, not to mention Antoine Winfield Jr., whose absence will require more changes within the secondary.

We will find out more tomorrow when Todd Bowles speaks to the media in regards to Keenan Isaac’s role this week. It was speculated that Tampa Bay would bring in a defensive back who had experience in this Bowles' defense and Isaac perfectly fills this role. To make room on the roster, the Bucs have placed CB Bryce Hall to the injured reserve.
