With college football underway, who are some offensive players Bucs fans should keep an eye on throughout the year?

College football season is just kicking off and getting into full swing - let me introduce you to 5 less obviously talked about prospects who the Bucs organization should be watching closely this fall.

QB: Byrum Brown, South Florida

Arguably the most slept on QB in the nation after a breakout sophomore season with South Florida last season, Brown is a big bodied passer with ram trucks for legs and the ability to churn for much needed short yardage in the run game.  He’s currently quite mechanical in his release and plays in a more gimmicky level of offense than pro evaluators would ideally want, but has a big and talented arm to pair with dynamic athleticism and size.  A classic case of a raw but extremely toolsy player that has the potential to shoot up boards this year.

WR: Chris Brazzell, Tennessee

A young redshirt sophomore oozing with upside, Brazzel might only be asked to run 3 routes in Tennessee's unique offense this year, but he showed at Tulane with new Bucs practice squad QB Michael Pratt last year what he was capable of.  An oily hipped, skilled mover, you would never guess Brazzell is 6’5” with the way he snaps off his routes and it’s that type of ability that makes him so intriguing as a dare I say Mike Evans replacement down the line.

RB: Kyle Monangai, Rutgers

The best pass pro back in this class off of my initial watching, Monangai would offer the Bucs a 3rd down type presence that would compliment their current set quite well.

TE: Harold Fannin, Bowling Green

One of my buddy Cory Kinnan’s favorite player’s in this upcoming class, Fannin is an uber productive tight end with plus receiving skills and surprisingly effective blocking that can line up virtually anywhere. Playing a bit of in line, h-back, fullback, and even receiving snaps in wildcat, Bowling Green has put him any and everywhere within great success and he’s the type of chess piece I could see fitting great in Bucs OC Liam Coen’s zone predominant scheme.

OL: Armand Membou, Missouri

A member of Bruce Feldman’s annual collegiate “freaks list”, Membou is an admittedly raw but powerful tackle with insane play strength and an unreal frame.  Struggles against speed rushers might make him more suitable for guard at the next level, but his run game ability and upside is easy to fall in love with.  He has a chance to rise up boards big time with a big year at Mizzou this season.
