Mike Evans was "close" to returning against the 49ers, but Buccaneers head coach Todd Bowles isn't going to commit one way or the other when it comes to Evans' status against the Giants after the bye week.

While the Bucs shouldn't have too much trouble beating the Giants with or without Mike, his path to an eleventh consecutive 1,000 yard season gets exponentially harder if he's not able to go next week.
