The Tampa Bay Buccaneers enter week twelve of battle behind most of the pack, as far as their 4-6 record is concerned. Playing one the league’s toughest schedules to date, while also holding the league’s easiest remaining schedule, fares well for the Bucs, as they’ve been set up to have a solid remaining stretch of this season.
Will a solid ending to the season be enough to push the Bucs into playoff contention and a spot into the race for the Super Bowl? They have to start their season’s turnaround now, as they face the Giants who don’t have any hope for the playoffs, as they just released their team’s QB over the last few seasons, and will enter a new era going up against Tampa Bay.
Will it be high scoring? Will Mike Evans make an impact in his return? Here’s what the good folks over at The 813 have to say about this week’s Bucs vs Giants match-up:

With the return of Mike Evans and Jamel Dean, the Bucs get a much needed energy and psychological boost on both sides of the ball in their first game out of the BYE. The Bucs pass rush makes the Giants day very rough as they're able to help the struggling back end of the defense en route to a 7-sack afternoon. I'd expect the Bucs defense to also for a couple turnovers from Tommy Cutlets with Todd Bowles able to lean on YaYa, Vita and Kancey up front. Mike Evans and Baker Mayfield open up the run game for the offense as the Bucs ride Rachaad, Bucky and Tucker to a much needed road victory. Don't be shocked to see Sterling Shepard have his best game of the season in his return to MetLife Stadium and the team who told him he should simply retire from the NFL.

The Bucs finally break the losing streak. The return of Mike Evans opens up more possibilities for Baker Mayfield. The Bucs run game continues to improve. The Bucs defense will bend but not break.
Look for Vita Vea and Calijah Kancey to wreak havoc up the middle.

The Bucs got their bye at a desperately needed time. Now, they get Mike Evans and Jamel Dean back as well as the return of Mike Edwards to help out a struggling secondary. Even without Tristan Wirfs and Tykee Smith, the Bucs should have no problem with the Giants who are now led by Tommy DeVito following the benching - and subsequent release - of Daniel Jones.
Evans gets plenty of opportunities in this one and gets over 100 yards in his return, but Sterling Shepard steals the show in his revenge game return to MetLife Stadium as he finds the end zone. Meanwhile, the pass rush gets after DeVito all afternoon to help the Bucs start their post bye run on the right foot.

The Bucs have a must-win game against a team they should most definitely beat. With Daniel Jones getting benched, the Giants are entering a new era of their franchise going into this week’s game.
This Tampa Bay defense has to begin their much-needed turnaround in the secondary. With a few changes made during the bye week, along with the return of Jamel Dean, this defense is lined up to have one of their best performances this year.
With Mike Evans returning, the offense should only flow even more smoothly, both in the run and pass as Evans takes up so much attention. If the Bucs can stay away from turning the ball over, this could turn into a rout-type performance like we saw in New Orleans. On the contrary, you can’t let the Giants’ new QB inject life into their team. Shut him down early and often, and it should be an overall quality game from Tampa Bay

The Bucs are coming off a bye week where they are rested and a bit healthier than what they’ve been in the past weeks.
Mike Evans and Jamel Dean make their return after being on IR for the last few weeks while Tykee Smith and Tristan Wirfs will be out for today’s matchup vs the Giants.
Even with Mike being out, the offense led by Baker Mayfield has been humming putting up 20.5 ppg in the last few weeks and now with Evans making his return we could see an uptick in yards and points put up today.
Defensively, this is the bounce back game.
Tommy DeVito makes his start after Daniel Jones was granted his release at the end of this week after being benched (and after playing as a scout Safety in practice) after week 11. The offensive line isn’t healthy and even with DeVito throwing for 8 touchdowns to 3 interceptions last year, he isn’t known for having a “quick trigger”.
If there’s any pressure in the backfield, expect the Bucs to have a couple Sack Lunches and maybe a pick or two.
